 PRIMARY DUTIES

HART is a Charleston-based, sister-owned jewelry business specializing in high-quality, soulful custom charm jewelry. HART’s Seasonal E-commerce Jewelry Fulfillment Associate is detail-oriented, proactive, and takes pride in contributing to a well-organized, fast-paced, team environment. They have the ability to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy, while possessing a can do and follow through attitude. This role combines both creativity and precision as the ideal candidate might have a keen eye for design, work well with their hands, and even enjoy bringing their creative expertise to HART’s online customers. 

They will play a crucial role in the e-commerce order process by fulfilling custom orders that come through our website from our happy, airy downtown Charleston HQ. The online fulfillment process entails everything from picking orders, assembling jewelry, engraving charms, creating shipping labels, and auditing orders/product, and packaging each individual order to ship out to our customers. We pride ourselves in truly creating a one-of-a-kind experience for our online customers. A strong sense of ownership and attention to detail is essential, as this role helps safeguard the accuracy and efficiency of each shipment leaving our facility, ensuring orders ship on time to meet customer expectations.

POSITION OVERVIEW

In this position, you will assist with some or all of the following areas of operation under order fulfillment, depending on your experience and where the business needs support at the time of hiring. If you feel aligned with one or more of the following, please apply and we will discuss further in the interview process.

Order Picking:

• Pick online orders based on packing slip pick lists, ensuring accuracy in product type, quantity, and style.

• Follow picking routes, batch flows, and priorities for timely processing and shipment.

• Perform basic quality checks to ensure items are damage-free.

• Transport picked orders to designated bins.

Order Assembly:

• Utilize knowledge of the HART brand and products to assemble and personalize online orders.

• Communicate with customers (via customer service platform) to verify designs and edit orders as needed while delivering exceptional service.

• Use jewelry pliers and jump rings for custom charm assembly (training provided).

• Address customer service inquiries, make necessary order updates in Shopify, and provide feedback on order issues.

• Engraving: Assisting with custom engraving orders (not required for all assemblers, training provided if experience matches).

Order Labels:

• Create and verify shipping labels, ensuring accuracy and adherence to shipping standards and lead times.

• Organize orders based on various factors like lead times and product types.

Order Packing:

• Pack orders according to HART’s fulfillment standards, ensuring all details match the packing slip.

• Ensure items are packed properly to prevent damage during shipping.

• Organize and restock packing supplies to maintain smooth operations.

Order / Product Auditing:

• Auditing orders before they ship out to ensure product accuracy and quality assurance.

• Auditing new bulk product as it arrives at our HQ, reviewing for imperfections and quality before product is allocated to stores and online orders.

• Learning and upholding auditing standards and standard operating procedures.

ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Additional day-to-day duties that fall under assembly, operations, fulfillment, and inventory.

• Oversee organization of fulfillment stations and areas.

• Complete daily opening and/or closing tasks.

• Assist managers with any order customer service requests (finding and holding orders for address changes, product swaps, exchanges, etc.)

• Learn, review, and follow standards across all duties to provide a one-of-a-kind experience to the online customer.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent moving of boxes weighing up to 50 pounds across the office and storage unit for various needs

• Ability to stand and move for extended periods: must be comfortable standing, walking, and moving around throughout the workday.

• Availability weekdays and weekends.
