Job Description
Paint Lead Job Qualifications:
Duties:
- Maintain paint spray equipment
- Applies touch up paint to parts as needed
- Ability to do paint repairs to damaged/painted incorrectly items
- Follow and complete work orders throughout the painting process
- Able to read engineering drawings, mix paint, and mask parts accordingly
- Identify and obtain equipment, tools and materials needed to properly perform job function
- Properly execute Hazardous Material Disposal activities
- Prepare/mix the various paint materials
- Clean and service spray guns, paint tanks, brushes, hoses, and related equipment after using.
- Identify and obtain equipment, tools and materials needed to properly perform job function
- Prepare and set up all equipment and supplies to perform work assignment
- Train and lead paint staff
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 3-5 years of industrial painting experience is required
- Former experience in estimating materials and labor requirement for painting project
- Ability to perform the simple mathematical calculations
- Ability to train staff
- Properly execute Hazardous Material Disposal activities
- Work well under pressure, meeting and completing deadlines
- Has knowledge of and is able to initially troubleshoot equipment and involve supervisor and maintenance if necessary
- Fully capable of using all methods to safely handle material from start to delivery of finished product
- Above average problem-solving skills
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter, strong work ethic, driven to meet company objectives
- Strong desire to teach train and develop team members
- Is respectful and keeps a professional demeanor, capable of managing conflict and avoiding it
