Settlement Agent

Location: Annandale, VA
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Settlement Agent to join our team. We are looking for someone who is not only comfortable conducting real estate settlements, but who enjoys being a versatile and valuable part of a team.

This is a role for someone who wants to do more than simply sit at the closing table. Our Settlement Agents are involved in a variety of aspects of the transaction, including conducting settlements, assisting with title clearance, supporting our processing team, communicating with clients and industry partners, and helping our team solve problems when they arise.

Virginia Title Agent licensing is strongly preferred. We are willing to consider the right candidate with substantial title and settlement experience who is working toward obtaining their license.

What You'll Do

• Conduct residential real estate settlements in a professional and client-focused manner
• Review settlement statements, closing documents, title documents, and other transaction-related materials
• Communicate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, attorneys, and other settlement partners
• Assist with title clearance and resolving title issues prior to closing
• Review title commitments and identify items requiring attention
• Provide backup support to our processing team when needed
• Assist processors with challenging or time-sensitive files
• Help coordinate and resolve issues that arise throughout the closing process
• Maintain accurate and complete transaction files
• Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after settlement
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and overall operation
