Entry Level Chemist - 3rd Shift

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Chemist to join our dynamic pharmaceutical laboratory team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop foundational skills in analytical chemistry and laboratory techniques within a regulated environment.

3rd Shift Monday - Friday 10pm - 6:30am

This position is located in Santa, Rosa, CA

Duties

• Process acquired instrument data and generate appropriate analytical reports.
• Perform the initial review of GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS analytical data in accordance with assay-specific SOPs.
• Accurately transcribe or upload analytical results into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) for final review and certification.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and compliant Chain of Custody and batch documentation.
• Identify and communicate discrepancies, testing issues, or emerging challenges to supervisors and escalate concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation in accordance with established procedures.
• Follow all laboratory safety requirements when working with biological specimens, chemicals, equipment, and analytical instrumentation.
• Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work environment for yourself and your coworkers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques such as spectroscopy, chromatography (HPLC, GC), and mass spectrometry.
• Familiarity with laboratory instruments including spectrophotometers, FTIR spectrometers, microscopes, and chromatographic systems.
• Understanding of laboratory compliance standards such as GMP, GLP, CGMP, ICH guidelines, and FDA regulations.
• Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is preferred but not required.
