Production Planning Support

This position is responsible for assisting/supporting Production by preparing Production schedules, determining resource requirements, updating inventory levels, etc.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with preparing/updating production schedules
• Reviewing production specifications and plant capacity data and performing calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
• Assist with preparing purchase orders and scheduling agreements
• Assist with creating and maintaining bills of material (BOMs), routings, work centers and costing data as needed.
• Enter/Update inventory level data
• Update and maintain the production board spreadsheet with customer orders and forecasts.
• Create and maintain any needed reports.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Associate Degree a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Experience with material requirements planning (MRP) and related software
