Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic FMLA Leave Specialist to manage and administer employee leave requests under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and other applicable leave programs. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while providing exceptional support to employees throughout the leave process.

Responsibilities

Process and administer FMLA leave requests from initiation through completion.

Determine employee eligibility and review required documentation.

Communicate leave policies, procedures, employee rights, and responsibilities.

Coordinate with healthcare providers, employees, and management regarding certifications and updates.

Track leave durations and return-to-work dates.

Maintain confidential leave records and ensure compliance.

Prepare reports and support related HR functions.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

1-3 years of HR, leave administration, or related experience.

Knowledge of FMLA regulations.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Ability to handle confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.

Prior FMLA processing experience.

Experience with ADP, Workday, or other HRIS systems.

SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
