Machine Operator – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing | 3rd Shift
Pay: $23.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM
Shift: 3rd Shift / Overnight
Experience: Entry Level – Training Provided
Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Required
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Machine Operator to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing team on 3rd shift. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable following written procedures, and interested in working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
The Machine Operator will be responsible for the proper operation and basic maintenance of drug manufacturing equipment, accurately weighing raw materials and active ingredients, combining materials into product blends, maintaining a clean work area, and completing required batch record documentation in accordance with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices).
Key Responsibilities
- Operate drug manufacturing and production equipment according to established procedures and work instructions.
- Accurately weigh raw materials and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) according to production requirements.
- Combine raw materials and active ingredients to create product blends while following approved manufacturing procedures.
- Perform routine equipment cleaning and help maintain machinery in a clean, safe, and properly functioning condition.
- Participate in the completion of manufacturing work orders and production activities.
- Complete batch records and manufacturing documentation accurately and in accordance with cGMP requirements.
- Carefully follow written procedures with minimal errors, corrections, or documentation discrepancies.
- Complete required cGMP, safety, equipment, and other job-related training within established timelines.
- Identify and report equipment issues, production concerns, or other problems to the appropriate team member.
- Maintain a clean and organized manufacturing area and help keep equipment and the facility in good repair.
- Follow all safety procedures, quality requirements, PPE requirements, and applicable manufacturing standards.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team to meet production requirements.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply; previous pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is not required.
- Ability to follow detailed written procedures and work instructions exactly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when weighing materials and completing documentation.
- Ability to learn and operate manufacturing equipment safely.
- Ability to complete paperwork and batch documentation accurately with minimal errors.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work the required overnight schedule.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as effectively within a team.
- Willingness to complete required cGMP and safety training.
Manufacturing & Compliance Environment
This position works in a regulated drug/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment where following procedures and maintaining accurate documentation are critical. Employees will be expected to follow cGMP requirements, SOPs, safety procedures, batch records, and established manufacturing processes.
