Shift: 2nd Shift

Role Overview

BEPC is seeking Operator I to support our customer’s manufacturing operations in Plymouth, MN.

This hands-on Operator I position focuses on the precision assembly and handling of small medical device components while following established manufacturing procedures, work instructions, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Depending on the assigned production line, employees may perform microscope-based assembly and inspection for 50%–90% of the workday. Candidates should have strong attention to detail, good hand dexterity, and the ability to perform repetitive precision work while maintaining accurate production and quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and repetitive medical device assembly operations according to established procedures and work instructions.
  • Handle and maneuver small components and parts with precision.
  • Perform microscope-based assembly and inspection activities for 50%–90% of the workday, depending on line assignment.
  • Maintain accurate production, traveler, and quality documentation to ensure product and component traceability.
  • Ensure manufacturing cell documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software applications.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on applicable production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot basic production and equipment issues.
  • Follow established safety procedures and use appropriate safety devices during manufacturing activities.
  • Prioritize work according to production sequencing, timing, importance, and operational needs.
  • Identify and communicate manufacturing issues and potential solutions to appropriate team members and management.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
  • Apply basic Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
  • Support established quality and productivity goals.
  • Work collaboratively with team members through effective communication, cooperation, and problem-solving.
  • Follow applicable Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and regulatory requirements.


Required Qualifications

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
  • Ability to accurately handle and maneuver small parts and components.
  • Ability to use a microscope for 50%–90% of the workday, depending on production line assignment.
  • Ability to use electronic data collection systems and computer software applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to accurately complete production and quality documentation.
  • Ability to prioritize work based on production requirements.
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform repetitive precision assembly activities consistently.
  • Ability to work 2nd shift.


Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6+ months of experience in medical device manufacturing, regulated production, or a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Previous medical device assembly experience.
  • Previous manufacturing, production, or precision assembly experience.
  • Experience performing microscope-based assembly or inspection.
  • Familiarity with regulated manufacturing documentation and traceability requirements.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
