Refrigeration Technician - Now Hiring

Purpose

The Refrigeration Technician I is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on refrigeration systems and equipment within Sysco's facilities, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. This role requires a basic understanding of refrigeration principles, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair common refrigeration issues.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose basic refrigeration system malfunctions.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.

• Repair or replace defective parts (e.g., compressors, fans, valves).

• Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures.

• Ensure proper disposal of refrigerants.

• Keep work areas clean and organized.

• Research and evaluate emerging technologies and best practices in maintenance management.

• Mentor and provide guidance to other analysts.

• Collaborate with other departments (operations, logistics, etc.) to ensure alignment and support business needs.

Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
