Physical Therapist – Outpatient Rehabilitation

Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Job Type: Crisis Rate – Contract
Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Setting: Outpatient Rehabilitation.
 

Facility Information:

  • Outpatient rehabilitation center located approximately 1.5 miles from Aurora Bay Area Hospital.
  • Aurora Bay Area Hospital is a 55-bed community hospital, approximately 1 hour north of Green Bay.
  • Outpatient rehab address: 3117 Shore Dr., Marinette, WI
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Candidates with 1 year of experience accepted 

Patient Population:

  • Adolescents through geriatrics
  • General orthopedics
  • Low back pain
  • Hip and knee pain
  • Post-surgical patients
  • Falls
  • Work-related injuries
  • General neurological conditions
  • Approximately 10 patients per 8-hour day 

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Wisconsin Physical Therapist License
  • BLS – Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Minimum 1 year of PT experience
  • Strong outpatient rehabilitation experience
  • Ability to provide independent patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment

Responsibilities;

  • Evaluate and treat patients across a broad outpatient orthopedic and neurological population.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
  • Perform manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
  • Utilize mechanical traction and LiteGait as clinically appropriate.
  • Provide patient education and support pain-management strategies.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with PTs, PTAs, OT, SLP, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic.
  • Provide safe, effective, and patient-centered rehabilitation services.

  • 2–3 PTAs
  • Manager/Supervisor onsite and available by phone
  • Schedulers  
  • Multidisciplinary team including OT and SLP 

EMR & Equipment:

  • Epic – Preferred
  • Hand weights
  • TheraBand  
  • Resistance machines
  • Aerobic equipment
  • Bikes
  • NuStep  
  • Treadmills  

Schedule:

  • 40 hours/week
  • Manager is flexible with either:
    • 5 × 8-hour shifts, or
    • 4 × 10-hour shifts
  • For 8-hour shifts, some days may require staying until approximately 5:30 PM
  • No weekends
  • No on call
  • Holiday requirement: 50% of holidays during the contract or every other holiday
  • Clinic is closed on holidays but open on holiday eves and the day after holidays
  • Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved 

Floating:

  • Candidates with an active Michigan PT license may be asked to float to Michigan outpatient PT.
  • Any floating would be communicated in advance, and the location is approximately 30 minutes away

Orientation & Other Information:

  • 1–3 days of orientation, based on candidate comfort and experience
  • Manager interview required with approval
  • Business casual attire
  • Free parking
