Mammography Technician

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (flexibility to fill day shifts as needed)
Location: On-site in Morristown, NJ (07960)
Pay: $55-61

Join a high-performing imaging team supporting breast health services. This role performs mammographic procedures in accordance with state/federal regulations and department standards, with a strong focus on patient safety, accuracy, and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams with a high standard of accuracy in positioning and technical factors
• Perform/assist with bone density and breast biopsy procedures (including breast interventions)
• Review patient records to ensure all required information is complete and available for the Radiologist
• Follow universal precautions, aseptic technique, and National Patient Safety Goals (2 patient identifiers)
• Use clinical systems accurately and efficiently (e.g., Epic, PACS)
• Maintain equipment knowledge, cleanliness, and stocked supplies in assigned areas
• Communicate clearly with patients and team members; explain procedures concisely and respectfully
• Support training/mentoring of new team members or students as needed
• Participate in call/holiday rotations if required by the site

Required Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Mammography
• BLS certification (current)
• Licensed by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJ DEP) in Diagnostic Radiography (NJ DEP X-ray License)
• Graduate of an NJDEP or JRCERT-approved radiography program
• Must be able to work independently with strong critical-thinking skills
• Up-to-date with 15 current Mammography CE’s (MQSA)
• Documented 2D and 3D training (8 hours)
• Documented training in stereotactic biopsies
• Compliance with MQSA standards
• 1+ year Mammography experience
• Experience with Epic and Sectra PACS (or ability to learn quickly during onboarding)
