MEDEX STAFFING NETWORK LLC is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Texas. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and clinical assessments across assigned healthcare settings
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Monitor and document patient progress, vital signs, and changes in condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies, applying critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and respiratory documentation
- Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health management
Requirements:
- Active Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Texas (in good standing) 2 years work experience
- Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care, long-term care, or similar setting preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS a plus
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient care skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and varying patient populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and care teams
- Reliable, flexible, and available for PRN/per diem scheduling as needed
