Schedule: Variable Shift | Monday–Friday
Hours: 40 hours/week | 8 hours/day
On-Call: Required — approximately 6–7 days per month, including 1 weekend per month
Cath Lab Experience: 1–2 years required
CRT: Required
Fluoroscopy Experience: Required
Position Overview
The Cardiac & Vascular Radiologic Technologist performs and assists with cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations and interventional procedures in the cardiovascular laboratory.
The technologist operates sophisticated imaging and fluoroscopy equipment to produce high-quality digital images, assists with cardiovascular procedures, positions and instructs patients, and performs specialized studies as ordered by physicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations
- Participate in interventional procedures within the cardiovascular/cath lab
- Operate advanced radiographic and fluoroscopy equipment
- Produce high-quality digital images of designated body areas
- Assist physicians and the clinical team during procedures
- Position and instruct patients before and during examinations
- Perform specialized cardiovascular imaging studies
- Follow radiation safety, patient-care, and department protocols
- Maintain accurate procedure and patient documentation
Requirements
Required
- 1–2 years of Cath Lab experience
- Fluoroscopy experience
- CRT certification
- Active Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in the state of practice
- BLS or CPR certification from an approved vendor
- Ability to participate in the required on-call rotation
Education
- Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience: Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent: Preferred
Experience
- Cath Lab or Special Procedures experience: Preferred
- ARRT certification: Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
- RT License – State of Practice: Required
- ARRT Certification: Preferred
- BLS/CPR: Required from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy
- Facility-Specific BLS: Required from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy
