Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced acute care hospital setting.
Details
- Acute care hospital with 212 staffed beds
- CT Tech unit supporting adult acute care, adult outpatient, and emergency department patients
- 1:1 patient ratio with an expected volume of 30-40+ scans per 12-hour shift
- Uses GE and Toshiba equipment, PACS, and Fuji Synapse
- Epic charting system
- Day shift (3x12 hours, 11:00-23:30) or night shift (3x12 hours, 18:00-6:30)
- Self-scheduling available based on seniority
- May be asked to volunteer for shifts outside contracted start times
- Weekend requirements may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs
- No call requirements and no floating between units required
- May be asked to perform own patient transport based on staffing needs
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT Tech experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Active BLS, ARRT (CT or R), CA CRT, and CT certification required
- License required if applicable
- Must be able to work independently and efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Proficiency in abdomen and pelvis imaging with and without contrast required
- Experience with chest, head and neck, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging
- Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation and administration, and radiation safety
- Compact state license must be in hand at time of consideration
- 2 professional references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required
Additional Information
- Perform a wide range of CT procedures including brain perfusion, coronary CTA, vascular CTA, biopsies, aspirations, and drainage procedures
- Must be open to working 3 of 5 major holidays
- May be asked to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Free parking available on-site
- First-time travelers will be considered for this role
- Returning staff may be eligible to return after a 3-month waiting period
- RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration
