This is a Travel CT Technologist position at a high-volume acute-care community hospital. The biggest thing to understand is that this is not a predictable 9–5 CT job—the traveler must be flexible with shifts, weekends, holidays, and a high scan volume.
 

Job Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations according to physician orders and department protocols.
• Complete a high volume of approximately 30–40+ scans per 12-hour shift.
• Prepare patients for CT procedures and verify patient identity, orders, and clinical information.
• Operate GE and Toshiba CT equipment safely and efficiently.
• Select appropriate scanning protocols based on the patient's condition and examination requirements.
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic images while following radiation-safety procedures.
• Administer contrast when required and monitor patients for potential reactions according to facility protocols.
• Recognize and appropriately respond to urgent or emergent patient conditions.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic.
• Work independently while maintaining efficiency and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Transport patients when required based on staffing levels.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow infection-control, radiation-safety, and patient-safety standards.
• Maintain CT equipment and report technical issues appropriately.
• Assist with emergency and inpatient CT examinations as needed.
• Adapt to variable schedules, changing patient volumes, and department needs.
• Has 2+ years of CT experience
• Has community hospital experience
• Has the required CA CRT + CT credentials
• Has BLS, ARRT, and ARRT Advanced
• Is willing to work any of the available shift times
• Is comfortable with 30–40+ scans per 12-hour shift

High-volume CT Tech opening at an acute-care community hospital—30–40+ scans per 12-hour shift, GE/Toshiba equipment, variable shifts, no call, and no floating. 2+ years CT experience with ARRT/CT, CA CRT, BLS, and ARRT Advanced required. Must be flexible with all shifts, weekends, and 3 of 5 major holidays.
