Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a high-volume acute care hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and community hospital background.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with 212 staffed beds
- Adult acute care, adult outpatient, and emergency department settings
- High-volume, fast-paced environment with an expected 30-40+ scans per 12-hour shift
- 1:1 patient ratios
- Procedures include abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, coronary CTA, vascular CTA, brain perfusion, biopsies, and drainage studies
- Uses GE and Toshiba CT equipment, PACS, and Fuji Synapse
- Epic EMR used for charting
- 3x12-hour shifts available in day, night, and graveyard rotations, with self-scheduling based on seniority
- Must be open to all shift times, including a high need for graveyard shifts
- Variable scheduling required, though facility works to keep clinicians on consistent day, night, or graveyard rotations
- Weekend requirements may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs
- No call requirements
- No floating between units required
- May be asked to perform own patient transport based on staffing needs
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- BLS, ARRT (CT or R), CA CRT, and CT certification required
- License required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Must be able to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with contrast media preparation and administration
- Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety protocols

- Must be open to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
