The Business Analyst 2 position in the Bureau of Medical Marijuana's (Bureau) Customer Relations Division (CRD), offers a chance to help improve important program systems. This leadership role supports the program mission by ensuring that patients with serious medical conditions can obtain medical marijuana through a safe and effective delivery system that protects both access to treatment and patient safety. This is a meaningful role that helps improve important statewide services.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role focuses on understanding how the Medical Marijuana Program operates and finding technology solutions that make its work smoother and more effective. The position evaluates program processes, reviews performance measures, and supports the development of useful IT tools. As a Business Analyst 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Process Review: Assess Program workflows to identify areas where technology can improve efficiency
- Application Needs: Identify needs for new or updated computer applications that support the Program
- Performance Tracking: Evaluate and monitor Service Level Agreement metrics and other performance measures
- Solution Development: Research, coordinate, and help implement IT solutions, including dashboards and system enhancements
- Quality Assurance: Conduct testing to ensure software changes meet functional and design requirements

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Business Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year as an Information Technology Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Five years of business process analysis experience; or
- One year of business process analysis experience and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
