This role supports employee relations, performance management, and general administrative functions within the agency. The position plays a key part in maintaining accurate processes and effective communication across staff. As an Administration and Management Trainee in this 12-month training program, you will learn the following duties of this position while gaining valuable skills and experience:
- Employee Relations Support: Review Code of Conduct notifications and investigate reported concerns
- Compensatory Time Coordination: Manage OnBase requests and maintain records for approval processes
- Performance Management Assistance: Support supervisors by preparing and reviewing performance standards, improvement plans, interim evaluation reports, and annual performance evaluation reports.
- Information Tracking: Maintain confidential systems related to ADA accommodations and employee records
- Communication Response: Handle inquiries by phone, email, and mail while directing requests appropriately
- General Administrative Support: Assist with correspondence processing, mailings, and special projects
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days a week with two days in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $46,827 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree, including 15 credits in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 15 credits in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
