DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role provides leadership in planning, directing, supervising, and evaluating nursing services for individuals living at Selinsgrove Center. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:

• Care Planning: Develop treatment plans, monitor nursing services, and evaluate clinical needs for assigned individuals
• Staff Direction: Guide non-professional nursing staff, assign responsibilities, and oversee completion of care tasks
• Compliance Oversight: Ensure nursing services meet policies, regulations, professional standards, and quality expectations
• Training Support: Participate in staff education, review procedures, and assist with clinical instruction and development
• Risk Management: Monitor infection control, review health concerns, and evaluate safety practices across assigned areas
• Communication Duties: Maintain clear communication with physicians, families, team members, and other nursing supervisors

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are 2nd shift (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM), with a 30-minute lunch. You will work every other weekend.
• Overtime as needed
• Free parking
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.

Special Requirements:

• You must possess active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
