Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting PreK-12 students as a dedicated school-based Physical Therapist. In this contract role, you'll work onsite part-time, just two days per week, providing crucial services to a diverse caseload of 21 students in a collaborative educational environment near New Lexington, OH. Your expertise will help young learners achieve greater independence and reach their fullest potential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid and current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Ohio
- Experience or strong interest in working with PreK-12 populations
- Previous school-based PT experience is highly valued
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong clinical judgment and creative problem-solving abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ physical development and functional abilities in alignment with IEP goals
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct physical therapy services tailored for the needs of each student
- Track progress, complete thorough documentation, and maintain accurate reports
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, collaborating on student objectives and strategies
- Provide guidance and support to educators and caregivers to reinforce physical therapy strategies in the classroom
