We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to support a fast-paced nonprofit office in Los Angeles, California. This Long-term Contract position offers a consistent on-site schedule of approximately 28 to 29 hours per week, including a 4-hour shift on Fridays, with potential to transition into a permanent opportunity. The person in this role will help keep daily operations organized while providing a welcoming presence for staff, visitors, and new team members.

Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to ensure smooth office operations in a busy nonprofit environment.
• Welcome visitors and serve as a helpful first point of contact for guests and incoming inquiries.
• Maintain office readiness by coordinating supply orders and monitoring inventory needs.
• Process invoices, track unpaid balances, and assist with billing-related follow-up.
• Support onboarding activities by helping facilitate orientation tasks for new employees.
• Complete and organize property-related documents and other administrative records with accuracy.
• Update internal charts, staff directories, and similar reference materials to keep information current.
• Assist with basic technical troubleshooting for common office and user issues.• Prior experience in an administrative, office support, reception, or similar coordination role.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-activity workplace.
• Confidence working independently and getting up to speed quickly with limited supervision.
• Clear and approachable communication skills, including handling inbound calls and greeting visitors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook; familiarity with Canva and Adobe Acrobat is helpful.
• Accurate data entry skills and attention to detail when handling invoices, records, and office documentation.
• Experience in nonprofit organizations or housing/property management settings is preferred.
• Interest in a long-term opportunity with the potential to grow into a permanent position.
