Teacher of the Deaf in Lynn, MA

A contract opportunity is available for a skilled professional to provide part-time support within a collaborative district environment. The position runs from ASAP through March 2026, with potential for extension as the district’s needs evolve.

You’ll enjoy flexibility in your weekly schedule—ideally 10-15 hours—and have influence over your assigned age groups and school locations based on your preferences. In this valuable role, you’ll partner with a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf to ensure all students with hearing loss receive the support they need across the district.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf teaching certificate required
• Professional experience supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing in educational settings
• Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet student needs and preferences
• Comfortable managing caseloads and documentation
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support services to deaf and hard of hearing students across assigned schools
• Collaborate with the district’s full-time Teacher of the Deaf to coordinate caseloads and service delivery
• Consult regularly with educators, families, and related service providers to develop and implement effective learning strategies
• Monitor student progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Advocate for student access, accommodations, and inclusive classroom practices
