We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join a Contract position supporting controllership activities across North America in Teaneck, New Jersey. This role partners with integrated and non-integrated entities and works closely with cross-functional teams in multiple locations to maintain accurate financial reporting and timely close activities. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting judgment, a solid grasp of internal controls, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee key accounting activities tied to the monthly close, including the preparation and review of journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Complete detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances to help ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Contribute to monthly financial reviews by analyzing account activity and explaining significant fluctuations in results.
• Partner with business stakeholders and corporate teams to address accounting questions, resolve issues, and support operational needs.
• Help maintain adherence to accounting policies, reporting standards, and internal control requirements across assigned entities.
• Support statutory reporting obligations and coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit activities.
• Collaborate with domestic and international colleagues, including offshore teams, to meet reporting deadlines and deliverables.
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc finance assignments that support the broader North America controllership function.• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years within a large multinational organization.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including revenue recognition and financial close processes.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, general ledger management, account reconciliations, and journal entry preparation.
• Familiarity with financial statement audits, statutory reporting, and internal control frameworks.
• Ability to manage a high volume of work while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across remote or geographically distributed teams.
• Prior background in the IT services industry is preferred.
