Job Description
**Shift:
** Day Shift, Mon – Fri (6am-2:30pm)
**Start
**: ASAP

** 90 days, with temp-to-hire possible

**Kelly
** has an exciting opportunity available for a CNC Machinist in the Houston, Texas (77047) area! This role will work Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm and the pay is $29/hour.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
**
Works from drawings, sketches and specifications in completing various machining operations.
Performs machine set-ups to obtain close tolerances, fitting and alignment of machined parts.
Obtains required inspections on first pieces of a run according to prescribed procedure and performs inspections on work-in-progress using a wide variety of measuring devices.
Completes and maintains all necessary records of time, part counts, first piece inspections, and requisition forms, etc. for each job.
Makes jigs, fixtures or other specialized non-production devices as qualified and assigned.
Acquires raw material, supplies, tools, etc. when necessary.
Maintains work area in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion and conforms to all quality procedures and standards.
Performs routine preventative maintenance of machines according to PM schedule.
Troubleshoots drawings, machining, tooling, programming, material, etc. and making competent decisions pertaining to job at hand.
Utilizes Geometric Dimension & Tolerance as called out on print.
Responsible for providing guidance and training to lower-level machinist
**Minimum required qualifications:
**
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be able to measure parts using micrometers, calipers or other measuring tools
Must be able to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
Minimum 2 years’ experience
Experience with CNC Lathes (twin spindle lathe, manual lathe is a plus)
You should be proficient in:
- CNC Tooling
- CNC Machine Repair
- CNC Machine Setup & Changeover
- Troubleshooting CNC Machines
Machines & technologies you'll use:
- CNC Lathe (2-4 axis)
- CNC Lathe (5+ axis)
