Job Summary
A growing banking and consumer lending organization is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for a senior commercial banking professional with a strong background in lending, deposit growth, relationship management, and portfolio development.
The Business Development Manager will focus on acquiring new commercial clients, expanding existing relationships, supporting Commercial, C&I, and Syndication transactions, and helping grow a profitable loan and deposit portfolio. This is a high-impact opportunity for a relationship-driven banking professional who enjoys business development, credit analysis, client strategy, and working closely with loan officers, leadership, and internal banking teams.
This position offers the opportunity to join a stable, professional banking environment with collaborative leadership, strong client focus, and a team-oriented culture. The successful candidate will play a key role in branch growth, client service, regulatory compliance, and long-term relationship development across the West Coast market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new commercial banking relationships through networking, referrals, community outreach, and targeted business development activities.
- Maintain and grow a profitable loan portfolio by identifying lending, credit, and deposit opportunities with new and existing clients.
- Coordinate and support underwriting for Commercial, C&I, and Syndication transactions in accordance with lending policies and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with loan officers and internal teams to analyze borrower fundamentals, industry trends, market conditions, and credit opportunities.
- Drive deposit growth by promoting checking, savings, certificates of deposit, and other banking products to commercial clients, SMEs, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Prepare business development reports, pipeline updates, portfolio reporting, and support regulatory examinations, audits, and internal validations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $120,000 to $170,000 per year.
