We are seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-precision CNC machinery and automated shop equipment in the Santa Clara area.
In this role, you will be responsible for keeping critical manufacturing assets running at peak performance. You will perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting on advanced CNC machine tools—including multi-axis mills, lathes, and Swiss-style screw machines.
Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in CNC machine tool maintenance and electrical/mechanical repair within a manufacturing environment.
Control Systems: Working knowledge of Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Siemens CNC controls and drive systems.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with multimeters, electrical schematics, hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams, precision measuring tools, and shop safety protocols (NFPA 70E, LOTO).
Swiss/Precision Equipment (Plus): Prior experience maintaining high-precision multi-axis machines or Swiss-type screw machines (Citizen, Star, Tsugami) is a plus.

Responsibilities
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults on CNC machine tools and auxiliary equipment.
Controls & Electrical Systems: Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot CNC controllers (e.g., Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens), servo drives, and PLCs.
Preventive Maintenance (PM): Perform routine PM schedules on all shop machinery, including fluid changes, way-lube system inspections, spindle health checks, and axis alignment.
Mechanical Repairs: Repair or replace ball screws, spindles, linear guides, tool changers, way covers, hydraulic valves, and pumps.
Precision Alignment: Conduct machine geometry alignments, backlash adjustments, and precision leveling using indicators, lasers, and precision levels.
Vendor & Parts Coordination: Source replacement parts, manage maintenance inventory, and coordinate with OEM service technicians for specialized warranty or rebuild work.
