MRI Technologist - Urgent Opportunity

Schedule: Thursday–Sunday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Hours: 32 hours/week
Shift: Days
Salary: Up to approximately $104,601 annually, depending on experience

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join the Radiology Department at a hospital in Brattleboro, VT. The MRI Technologist will independently perform a variety of MRI procedures while maintaining a strong understanding of MRI safety, patient care, and imaging quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations according to established protocols.
• Independently operate MRI equipment and obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Ensure patient safety and follow all MRI safety procedures.
• Screen patients for MRI safety risks and contraindications.
• Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures.
• Provide compassionate patient care and explain procedures as needed.
• Perform venipuncture when required for contrast administration.
• Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation.
• Follow quality assurance and quality control standards.
• Work collaboratively with radiologists and the Radiology team.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and applicable safety standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of a formal AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Previous MRI experience in a hospital setting required.
• ARRT Registry required.
• MRI Registry required.
• CPR certification required.
• Venipuncture certification required; may be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• At least 2 recent supervisory references required.
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety and imaging procedures.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
