Role snapshot
  • Title: DC Logistics Operations Specialist (focus: SAP order processing, shipping/receiving)
  • Team: Small, highly collaborative; senior individual contributor, no direct reports
  • Partner: Works closely with the DC Manager to execute day-to-day operations

  • Real-time coordination with carriers and internal teams prevents delays and rework.
What you’ll do
  • Execute daily shipping and receiving; complete all documentation and system postings.
  • Run SAP transactions for shipping, receiving, and order management, including allocation and PGI (post goods issue).
  • Coordinate schedules, changes, and delivery updates with Sales, Customer Service, Production, Supply Chain, Transportation, and external carriers/drivers.
  • Prepare bills of lading and related shipment paperwork.
  • Support truck planning, load sequencing, and shipment coordination.
  • Respond to inventory inquiries and assist with customer service tickets.
  • Assist with cycle counts and reconciliation to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain precise records; uphold data integrity across systems.
  • Manage sample shipments and small parcels (e.g., UPS).
  • Assist with additional DC tasks as needed.
What you bring
  • Deep familiarity with distribution or manufacturing shipping/receiving processes.
  • Track record of high performance in fast-paced, changing environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Detail orientation and strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills across Supply Chain, Customer Service, Sales, and Transportation.
  • Analytical, critical thinker with sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in SAP and comfort with other business applications.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency: Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Experience and education
  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or higher in a related field preferred.
  • 2–3+ years of hands-on SAP experience concentrated in shipping, receiving, and logistics workflows.
  • Experience supporting distribution center or warehouse operations.
  • Experience working with carriers and drivers, plus internal teams.
  • APICS/CPIM or similar certification is a plus (not required).
