Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of outpatient PT experience to treat orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiac patients.
Details
- Outpatient PT setting with some acute care coverage in the hospital as needed when outpatient scheduling allows
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekends required
- Patient population includes orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiac diagnoses, including post-op ortho aftercare and generalized weakness
Requirements
- State license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient PT experience required
- Experience with orthopedic conditions including cervicalgia, low back pain, post-op cervical/shoulder/spinal surgery, spinal conditions, and total hip/knee replacement
- Experience with neurologic conditions including cognitive disorders, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
- Skilled in assessment and body mechanics
- Knowledge of home exercise programs and patient/family education
- Prior travel experience required
- Two professional references required for consideration

- Responsibilities include developing home exercise programs and providing patient and family education
- May assist with acute care coverage in the hospital during periods of lower outpatient volume
