Job Overview
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance and operation of a facility in the Sacramento/Arden area. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with a well-rounded maintenance background who can troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and help keep the facility safe, functional, and well maintained.
The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable working independently, and able to respond quickly when maintenance issues arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair general facility maintenance issues.
- Replace electrical switches, repair fixtures, clear clogged drains, patch drywall, and perform painting as needed.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests, including power outages, water leaks, and security hardware issues.
- Complete and document work orders using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Track maintenance parts, supplies, and equipment inventory.
- Coordinate with or oversee outside vendors and contractors performing specialized repairs.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and functional facility.
- Follow established safety procedures and maintenance protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in facility, commercial, industrial, or building maintenance.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and general building repairs.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform a variety of hands-on repairs, including drywall and painting.
- Ability to respond to emergency maintenance situations when needed.
- Basic computer skills and ability to document completed work.
- Valid driver's license required.
- EPA 608 certification preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
