Echocardiograph (Echo) Tech

We are seeking an experienced Echocardiogram Technologist to provide onsite cardiac imaging services at a federal medical facility in Philadelphia, PA. The Echo Technologist will perform routine and emergency echocardiographic procedures for inpatient and outpatient populations and work independently within a Cardiology department.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency echocardiograms
• Perform 2D, 3D, M-mode, color-flow and spectral Doppler imaging
• Perform contrast and bubble studies and stress echocardiograms
• Assist with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
• Obtain diagnostic-quality cardiac images and measurements
• Recognize abnormal findings and communicate pertinent information to physicians
• Adjust imaging techniques and equipment based on patient condition and clinical needs
• Manage both inpatient requests and scheduled outpatient examinations
• Troubleshoot echocardiography equipment and imaging/PACS transmission issues
• Provide professional, compassionate patient care

These duties reflect the clinical scop, including independent routine ECHO work, advanced Doppler imaging, contrast/bubble and stress studies, and assistance with TEE procedures.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS preferred
• CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) and/or ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) required
• Recent experience performing echocardiography in a clinical setting
• Ability to perform examinations independently
• Strong communication and patient-care skills
• Ability to meet federal facility credentialing and onboarding requirements
