About the OpportunityA growing manufacturing organization in an eastern suburb of Cleveland is seeking an experienced Temporary Accounting Manager to step in and provide immediate accounting leadership and support. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional who can quickly learn a new environment, take ownership of key accounting processes, and make an immediate impact.The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting leader with strong technical accounting skills, excellent Excel capabilities, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.What You'll DoLead and oversee day-to-day accounting activities and the month-end close.Prepare and review financial statements, account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications.Provide accounting guidance and ensure compliance with GAAP.Oversee and improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting.Support cost and inventory accounting, including analysis and related controls.Analyze financial results and provide meaningful information to business leadership.Partner with internal teams to ensure appropriate accounting treatment of transactions.Coordinate workloads and provide direction to accounting team members.Quickly learn existing systems and processes and identify opportunities for improvement.What We're Looking For10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience at the Accounting Manager level.Bachelor's degree in Accounting.Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close.Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation.Experience with ERP/accounting systems & advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Inventory and/or cost accounting experience required.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to hit the ground running and work independently with minimal direction.Why Consider This Opportunity?This is a great fit for an experienced Accounting Manager who enjoys jumping into a new environment, solving problems, improving processes, and making an immediate contribution.
