Production Worker

Connect Staffing is hiring a Production Worker for a tire production facility in Houston, TX. This is a temporary position paying $15.00/hr with weekly overtime. In this role, you will inspect and grade tire casings, operate a tire buffing machine, and retread used tires manually and with specialized retreading equipment. The facility runs a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with early morning start times.

Pay: $15.00/hr + overtime

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:00 AM–3:00 PM (10-hour shift)

Location: Houston, TX

Overtime: Weekly OT required (~13 hrs/wk)

Responsibilities

• Inspect tire casings and grade them for retreading eligibility.
• Operate a tire buffing machine to remove worn tread and prepare rubber surfaces.
• Retread used tires manually and using specialized retreading equipment.
• Lift and move tire inventory throughout the production floor.
• Apply tread to new tire inventory as directed.
• Clean and maintain the general work area on the production floor.

Minimum Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in a production, manufacturing, or industrial environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in heavy manufacturing or automotive parts production.
• Experience working 10-hour shifts in a high-output production environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout the shift.
• Ability to work at a fast pace in a production environment.
• Ability to work in a heavy labor environment.
• Must be able to work in a hot environment.
• Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify).
