- Location: Athens, AL
- Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
- Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm
- Pay Rate: $18-$24 Competitive, based on experience
About the Role
Wise Staffing Group is partnering with one of Athens’ most established names in precision manufacturing. Known for accuracy, reliability, and top-tier craftsmanship, this industry leader is expanding its team and looking for dedicated CNC Operators who take pride in their work and thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
CNC Operator Duties:
- Setup & Operation: Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) to produce precision components.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications.
- Material & Machine Monitoring: Load raw materials and monitor operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintenance & Quality: Perform routine machine maintenance, minor repairs, and inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed production logs and adhere strictly to all safety protocols.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure dimensional accuracy and structural integrity of all fabricated parts.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams to meet exact project specifications.
- Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean, organized work area and strictly follow company safety procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in CNC machine operation or metal fabrication.
- Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
- Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Attributes: Strong mechanical aptitude, sharp attention to detail, and proven problem-solving abilities.
