Job Summary

Coteau des Prairies Health Care System in Sisseton, SD, is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker to prepare and serve meals for patients, staff, and visitors. Shifts include days or nights with rotating weekends/holidays.

The role involves preparing all food items, meeting sanitation and quality standards, delivering on time, and supporting dietary procedures with excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and provides the highest quality and safest food possible
• Follows standardized recipes and guidelines for cooks to prepare, store, and use food
• Maintains labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery
• Performs washing and cleaning duties to ensure sanitation
• Operate equipment such as mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, food grinders, and more

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Possesses the ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions. Ability to perform basic math. Minimum of six months of applicable experience is preferred. On-the-job training will be provided.

Serv Safe will be required to obtain within a designated time frame. Fulfill annual continuing education requirements of the department and facility, including departmental meetings, safety education, and mandatory in-services.
