We Are: Collegiate Coaching Services provides college success, executive functioning coaching, and therapeutic coaching for teens, young adults, and parents.

We are based in Boulder, Colorado, and provide in-person, hybrid, and virtual services to local teens and young adults, families, and others across the Front Range and beyond. Coaches meet clients on CU-Boulder Campus and in our offices. This is not a work-from-home position.

This part-time position is paid hourly; coaching rate is $35-45/hour DOE. You will meet clients both in-person and, when indicated, virtually. Additional compensation is provided for new coach training, administrative tasks, and commute time to campus to meet with clients.

Your typical work week includes 1:1 meetings with clients and parents, either in our office, on campus, or virtually; weekly individual supervision, team meetings, and administrative tasks.

** Details about the training week, which is required before you begin meeting with clients, will be shared with you if you are invited for an interview. We provide a thorough training program to all new team members.

The desired candidate can commit to a minimum of 1 year or 3 semesters, and we are seeking a team member who wants to stay on our team longer than one year to consistently support clients and students who are often with us beyond one academic year. We are seeking candidates who live near Boulder, CO, ideally within a 15–30-minute commute, or who have easy access via public transportation. Consistent attendance at client meetings is critical, and we discourage long commutes to Boulder.

We provide in-person coaching services primarily at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Position Description:

  • The College Success, Executive Function, and Wellness Coach will carry a mixed caseload of high school students, college students, and young adults, working one-on-one to provide coaching and support services.
  • You will meet with parents to provide updates and offer consultation and education.
  • You will teach and support clients to strengthen their ability to succeed in academic settings by building executive function, life management, and basic emotional regulation skills, and by helping students navigate higher education.
  • The coach will collaborate with the client, parents, and their supervisor to help each client reach their goals.
  • **This position focuses on academic management, performance, and achievement 80% of the time, and approximately 20% of the time, it focuses on social connection, life management support (e.g., bill payment, job support), and emotional regulation support.
  • We specialize in areas such as executive function development, successful independent living, family relationships, college success, and connecting in a healthy way with peers and support systems.

In addition to direct client meetings, the position requires time for individual and group supervision, team meetings, client collaboration meetings, and administrative work.

While some client meetings occur through video-conferencing software, most of our work is done in person.

Position Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in education, counseling, psychology, sociology, performance psychology, family relationships, neuropsychology, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree, PsyD, PhD: a minimum of one to three years of relevant direct experience post-internship with teens, young adults, and families in academic and mental health environments.
  • We encourage graduate students seeking to gain professional experience while pursuing their academic studies to apply for this part-time opportunity, designed to accommodate graduate program commitments.
  • Bachelor's degree: must have 3 to 5 years of relevant, direct experience with teens, young adults, and families in academic and mental health environments.
  • Experience working with teens and young adults with learning differences is a plus. We desire candidates who have an interest in and experience working with neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism spectrum and ADHD, and mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression.

  • Engage with colleagues and supervisors to discuss strategies to help support clients.
