Job Description
PROMAN Skilled Trades is hiring Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanics in Commerce, TX.
Steady work. Mileage pay available. Start ASAP.
JOB DETAILS
Location: Commerce, TX
Pay: Based on Experience
Mileage: $0.72 per mile for qualifying mileage over 30 miles from the jobsite
Start: ASAP
Environment: Commercial Construction
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hang and install commercial ductwork
- Install supply and return air grilles/registers
- Install diffusers and other HVAC air distribution components
- Install rectangular and round duct
- Assemble and connect duct sections
- Measure, cut, fit, and modify ductwork as needed
- Install hangers, supports, straps, and hardware
- Read measurements and basic commercial HVAC layouts
- Seal duct connections properly
- Work safely from ladders and lifts
- Coordinate with other trades on active commercial jobsites
REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of commercial sheet metal/HVAC installation experience preferred
- Must have hands-on experience hanging ductwork and installing grilles
- Must know how to work with commercial duct systems
- Must have basic sheet metal hand tools
- Must have required PPE
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be dependable and able to work a full schedule
- Must be able to work independently and keep production moving
We are looking for experienced mechanics. This is not an entry-level sheet metal position.
