POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Driver / Government Furnished Material (GFM) Coordinator to support shipyard operations. This position will be responsible for transporting and coordinating government-furnished materials throughout the shipyard while ensuring materials are properly handled, delivered, and documented.

JOB DUTIES:

• Transport and deliver materials throughout the shipyard and designated work areas
• Coordinate the movement and delivery of Government Furnished Material (GFM)
• Receive, stage, and distribute materials as needed
• Verify material, quantities, tags, and documentation
• Maintain accurate records of material movement and deliveries
• Communicate with warehouse, production, and other shipyard departments
• Ensure materials are delivered to the correct location in a timely manner
• Follow all shipyard safety, security, and material-handling procedures
• Assist with general material control and logistics duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in driving, material handling, warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, or material control preferred
• Shipyard, Navy, or maritime experience is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle
• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and work in a shipyard environment

Candidates with experience in Navy supply, shipyard material control, warehouse operations, logistics, GFM, inventory control, or transportation are encouraged to apply.
