Assistant Teacher - Virginia Beach

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. This role is essential in fostering a love for learning and promoting the overall development of each child in our care. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with students, helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Duties

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing curriculum and care that promote childhood development.
• Support the needs of children by providing individualized attention and guidance.
• Facilitate engaging learning activities that encourage exploration and creativity.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Foster positive relationships with students and colleagues to create a supportive community.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a preschool or childcare setting.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
• Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A genuine passion for educating young children and supporting their growth.
