Assistant Retail Store Manager – WOW! Convenience Store
Location: Lake Orion, MI
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role
WOW! is seeking a dependable, hands-on Assistant Store Manager to lead assigned shifts and ensure strong customer service, staffing, cash control, cleanliness, and store performance.
You will report to the Retail Operations Manager and direct store employees during your assigned shifts.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in convenience-store, and Fuel Retail.
- Previous supervisory, shift-lead, or management experience in convenience-store and fuel operations is required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer-service skills
- Comfortable handling cash and following company procedures
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, organized, professional, and accountable
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage assigned store shifts
- Direct, coach, and support employees
- Maintain fast, friendly, and professional customer service
- Monitor staffing, employee productivity, and shift performance
- Follow and enforce cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures
- Ensure shelves, coolers, and displays are stocked and organized
- Maintain a clean, safe, and customer-ready store
- Handle opening/closing procedures when assigned
- Address customer, operational, cash, inventory, and safety issues promptly
- Communicate important issues to the Retail Operations Manager
- Lead by example in professionalism, teamwork, urgency, and customer service
Schedule & Availability
Full-time management position requiring flexibility for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
Physical Requirements
Active position requiring extended standing/walking, bending, reaching, stocking, and lifting. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
