CNC Band Saw Operator - Structural Steel

A growing steel-fabrication company in North St. Louis is seeking a CNC Band Saw Operator. This position involves cutting structural steel—including beams, tubing, channels, angles, and bars—to the required specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate a CNC horizontal band saw
• Enter measurements and cutting specifications into the machine
• Read blueprints, cut lists, and work orders
• Measure and cut structural steel accurately
• Load and position material using an overhead crane
• Inspect finished pieces for correct measurements and quality
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Follow all safety and quality procedures

Qualifications:

• CNC saw or industrial metal-cutting experience preferred
• Structural-steel or fabrication experience is a plus
• Ability to read a tape measure and work with fractions
• Ability to understand blueprints and cut lists
• Overhead-crane experience is preferred
• Dependable attendance and strong attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the shift
