Pharmacy Technician

Place of Performance-Federal Transfer Center (FTC) Oklahoma City 7410 S MacArthur BlvdOklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73169

Schedule- four (4) Pharmacy Technicians. These services will be required five (5) days per week, normally consisting of eight (8) sessions per day, Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays), normally between the hours of 06:00-18:00, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch period, (if applicable). The facility is expected to require an average of 160 sessions per week. A session is defined as one (1) hour.

Education and Experience- must have completed a formal Pharmacy Training Program or have medical/technical background obtained through education or on the job training in the pharmaceutical field. The applicant must have at least two years of Pharmacy Technician experience, have a current CPR certification, and experience working in a correctional environment is preferred, but not required. The applicant must be certified by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (NPTC). The applicant must possess knowledge of methods, techniques, and procedures to perform job activities on several types of medical equipment and automated systems and safety principles and infection control in the patient care environment. Possess the ability to relate and deal effectively with Physicians, peers, AICs, and others; to recognize, report, and record changes in patient’s physical and emotional condition; and to administer medication
