Automotive Technician

ATM Transmissions is currently seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle issues. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced lead technician in a collaborative, non-corporate shop where knowledge is shared and quality workmanship comes first.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of actual automotive technician/mechanic experience required
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
• Experience using automotive diagnostic equipment and tools
• Solid mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, motivated, and deadline-oriented
• Willingness to learn, collaborate, and continually develop your skills alongside an experienced lead technician

Responsibilities:

• Perform quality repairs on vehicles, including engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, and brake systems
• Complete routine maintenance services and major mechanical repairs according to shop standards
• Accurately document inspections, findings, and recommended repairs
• Test drive vehicles as needed to verify concerns and confirm repairs
• Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and safe
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and fellow technicians to ensure efficient workflow
• Maintain productivity while delivering high-quality workmanship
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer repair guidelines

Pay will be discussed based on experience. Annual earning potential, based on experience, skill level and productivity. Experienced A/B-level technicians and candidates with strong transmission diagnostic, R&R or rebuilding experience may qualify for higher earning potential
