We are seeking an experienced Accountant to independently manage accounting operations, projects, and end-to-end financial processes. This is a senior individual-contributor position for someone who can take ownership of priorities, resolve complex issues, and deliver accurate results with minimal supervision.

The Accountant will also partner with internal and external stakeholders, recommend operational improvements, and share accounting knowledge with peers and junior team members. This is not a people-management position.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage accounting tasks, priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Own projects and end-to-end accounting or finance processes from planning through completion.
• Develop project plans, establish milestones, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery.
• Perform detailed accounting analysis and evaluate the financial and operational impact of different scenarios.
• Investigate complex or multifaceted issues involving multiple teams or areas of expertise.
• Identify root causes, dependencies, risks, and appropriate solutions.
• Communicate project updates, financial information, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
• Respond professionally to questions from internal partners, external customers, and vendors.
• Recommend improvements to accounting procedures, workflows, controls, and operational practices.
• Collaborate across departments to align processes and improve overall performance.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to peers and junior colleagues.
• Share best practices and help promote consistent accounting standards across the team.
• Support departmental goals through accurate execution, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least five years of professional accounting or finance experience.
• Experience within accounting operations, finance operations, transaction processing, or a similar environment.
• Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Experience owning end-to-end accounting processes or projects.
• Strong accounting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to investigate issues involving multiple stakeholders, processes, or systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing and implementing accounting or operational process improvements.
• Experience establishing and monitoring performance measures or KPIs.
• Experience training or coaching peers and junior colleagues.
• Experience documenting procedures, standard work, or accounting best practices.

They are comfortable solving complex problems, influencing operational practices, and helping others understand accounting processes without serving as a formal people manager.
