Structural Foam Operator

The Structural Foam Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining structural foam molding machines used in the production of plastic components. This role ensures that products are produced efficiently, safely, and according to company quality standards. The operator monitors machine performance, performs routine adjustments, and works closely with quality and maintenance teams to maintain optimal production output.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Operate structural foam molding machines according to production specifications and schedules. 
• Monitor machine performance and production output to ensure consistent product quality. 
• Inspect molded products for defects, dimensional accuracy, and overall quality. 
• Record production data including quantities produced, scrap rates, and downtime. 
• Follow all company safety procedures, manufacturing guidelines, and quality control standards. 
• Communicate production issues, equipment malfunctions, or quality concerns to supervisors and maintenance staff. 
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 6S and workplace safety standards. 
• Follow company policies and attendance procedures 
• Assist with production line support as needed. 
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste. 

Required Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or GED required. 
• Previous experience in plastic injection molding or structural foam molding preferred. 
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate manufacturing machinery. 
• Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and quality specifications. 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Preferred Skills: 

• Experience with structural foam molding equipment. 
• Knowledge of plastics materials, resins, and processing conditions. 
• Familiarity with manufacturing documentation and quality inspection procedures. 
• Basic troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving skills. 

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts. 
• Ability to lift up to 40–50 pounds as needed. 
• Frequent bending, reaching, and movement around machinery. 
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, heat, and moving equipment. 

Work Environment: 

• Industrial manufacturing facility. 
• Exposure to machinery, plastic materials, and varying temperatures and noises. 
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) required as specified by company safety policies. 

Schedule: 

• Temporary work for a week starting on 09/28
• 1st shift : 6:30am-3:00pm
• 2nd Shift : 2:30pm-11:00pm
• 3rd Shift : 10:30pm-7:00am
