Full-Time Salaried Position with Performance Bonuses
Every day is an opportunity to change someone's life for the better.
As a Career Success Advisor, you'll help individuals with disabilities get hired, whether they're returning to work after years away or landing their very first job, and you'll watch them rediscover what they're capable of. That's the work this team does every single day.
America Works serves people receiving disability benefits (SSI/SSDI) through the Social Security Administration's Ticket to Work program. Career Success Advisors aren't case workers pushing paperwork. You'll be a guide, an advocate, and a champion for people who are ready to reach their potential. You'll walk alongside them from the first conversation to the first day on the job, and you'll keep supporting them as they grow.
What the job looks like
You'll manage your own caseload of participants and guide each one through the full journey to employment. It starts with getting to know them: their goals, their strengths, their work history, and what has held them back. From there, you'll build a plan together and put it into action.
That means helping people sharpen their resumes, prepare for interviews, and find roles that truly fit. It means reaching out to employers, attending career fairs, and building a network of companies that are ready to hire. And once a participant lands a job, your work continues. You'll stay in touch, help them handle challenges as they come up, and support them as they settle in and grow.
Some days you'll be on the phone connecting with new participants. Other days you'll be meeting with employers, celebrating a client's first paycheck, or helping someone work through a setback. No two days are the same, and every one of them moves someone closer to a better life.
About America Works: a national leader in workforce development
Since 1984, America Works has been at the forefront of helping people move into real, lasting jobs. Founded in New York City, the company was built on a simple belief: meaningful employment is one of the most powerful paths to independence, dignity, and a better life.
Today, America Works is a national network of companies with offices across the country. It has helped millions of people find employment and built strong relationships with employers nationwide. Its programs serve veterans, people with disabilities, young adults, individuals returning from incarceration, and others facing barriers to work.
America Works is a pioneer and the gold standard in workforce development. Its approach has become the model that agencies and organizations across the country look to when building their own employment programs. As a 100% woman-owned business, America Works brings a people-first perspective to everything it does.
What hasn't changed over the decades is the commitment at the heart of the organization: a deep dedication to the people it serves and to the people who serve them. Joining America Works means joining an organization with a proven model, a respected name in the field, and a mission to be proud of.
Why this role is different
- A place to grow your career. America Works nurtures its people into their full potential. Many team members who started in this very role have grown into management positions, site directors, grant writers, and other leadership roles across the organization.
- Learn from the best in the field. You'll be trained in a proven model by experienced professionals who have been doing this work for years.
- See social policy up close. You'll work directly with federal workforce programs and see firsthand how policy changes lives on the ground. It's an experience few people get this early in their careers.
- Autonomy with backup. You'll own your caseload and make real decisions, with a skilled, supportive team right beside you whenever you need them.
- Work that matters. At the end of the day, you'll know exactly whose life you helped change.
Who you are
You're a natural connector who believes in people, communicates with warmth and clarity, and gets energized by seeing others succeed. You're organized enough to manage a caseload and driven enough to go after results. If you've worked as an employment specialist, case manager, or job coach, your experience will translate directly.
