Description

The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry’s Consumer Protection Services Division is looking for development support for its new Inspections application. The Inspections application will allow agency field inspectors to collect agricultural inspection data via online forms, save the data to the SQL database, and generate and store PDF documents.

The Department’s existing inspections program is scheduled to be decommissioned in Spring 2027, and the replacement system is being developed in-house. Essential to this effort is a contracted developer practiced with JavaScript and SQL whose experience level ranges from beginner to intermediate.

This position’s primary responsibilities consist of converting approximately seventy existing fillable PDF inspection documents into new interactive HTML forms that will be used by department inspectors for data collection.

The developer will use JavaScript to build the functionality for inspector inputs to be saved to the SQL database, and Jinja templates will be used to compile those inputs back into new PDF files.

Secondary responsibilities include providing JavaScript development support as needed to help keep the current project on track.
