Overview
we are seeking a bilingual Operations Safety Technician to support our operations. This role is vital in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting training, and fostering a culture of safety throughout our team.
we are seeking a bilingual Operations Safety Technician to support our operations. This role is vital in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting training, and fostering a culture of safety throughout our team.
Position Description:
- Develop site specific safety documents and plans.
- Function as the Safety Professional monitoring employees and contractors, to ensure all Life Critical Rules are followed.
- Confirm and track all daily startup documents to ensure they are being completed accurately and equipment that is out of compliance is being locked out until repaired.
- Hold daily site inspections, checking for hazards in tools, machinery, and other site equipment.
- Prepare and submit weekly safety reports documenting site conditions, updated safety plans, and any worker concerns. Report all safety incidents and update mitigation plans as needed.
- Ensure all safety KPIs are positive, and all actions are closed as scheduled. Conduct daily safety inspections and write comprehensive reports on safety incidents and updates to risk mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with the corporate EHS staff to ensure all environmental requirements are followed and reported.
Requirements:
- One to three -year minimum experience in a safety related position
- Bi-Lingual Spanish/English
- OSHA 30 Required
- Good organizational skills and leadership ability.
- Proficient in using computer software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience in SAP and Power Bi is a plus
- Excellent people skills.
- Some travel required
