Assistant Director of Nursing ADON

Hampton Nursing and Rehab is seeking an experienced and dependable Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), RN to help lead our nursing department and support the delivery of high-quality resident care.

This is an excellent opportunity for an RN leader who enjoys developing employees, strengthening clinical systems and working alongside the Director of Nursing to create a supportive, accountable nursing team.

What You’ll Do

• Assist the Director of Nursing with the daily management of nursing operations

• Provide clinical leadership, guidance and support to RNs, LPNs and CNAs

• Help ensure appropriate staffing, assignments and nursing coverage

• Monitor resident care, clinical documentation and changes in condition

• Participate in clinical meetings, quality assurance and performance-improvement initiatives

• Assist with survey readiness and ongoing regulatory compliance

• Review incidents, grievances, infections, rehospitalizations and other clinical concerns

• Support employee orientation, education, competency validation and performance management

• Coach nursing employees and reinforce clinical standards and facility policies

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians and interdisciplinary team members

• Serve as acting nursing leader when the Director of Nursing is unavailable

• Participate in the leadership on-call rotation, as required

What We’re Looking For

• Current, unrestricted Michigan Registered Nurse license

• Previous nursing leadership experience

• Skilled nursing, long-term care or rehabilitation experience strongly preferred

• Knowledge of state and federal long-term-care regulations

• Strong clinical judgment, organization and problem-solving abilities

• Effective communication and employee-coaching skills

• Ability to build accountability while maintaining a positive, respectful workplace

• Current CPR certification
