REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – SHORT-TERM ASSIGNMENTOrcas Island, WA

3-day RN assignment | Overnight camp | Overtime + overnight pay

EDU-AIDs is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a short-term assignment supporting two students with seizure disorders at an overnight camp on Orcas Island, Washington, in the San Juan Islands.

This is a unique opportunity for an RN looking for a short, defined assignment with additional compensation for overtime and overnight coverage.

Assignment

Location: Orcas Island, Washington
Dates: September 23–25, 2026
Setting: Overnight educational camp

Compensation

• Regular RN hourly rate for up to 8 hours/day
• Time-and-a-half overtime for hours worked beyond 8 hours/day
• Additional overnight compensation
• Any time spent responding to a student during the overnight period is compensated separately
• Travel/accommodation arrangements will be discussed with qualified candidates

What You'll Do

• Provide nursing support for two students throughout the camp assignment
• Monitor students and respond appropriately to seizure-related concerns
• Administer medications and provide nursing care as needed
• Follow established care plans and emergency protocols
• Communicate with camp and school staff regarding student health needs
• Remain available overnight and respond if a student requires assistance
• Maintain appropriate nursing documentation

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Pediatric or school nursing experience preferred
• Experience supporting individuals with seizure disorders preferred
• Ability to commit to the entire September 23–25 assignment
• Comfortable working in an overnight camp environment
